Mudslide!

Today is our last day at Finca La Anita and tomorrow we are going to be heading in separate directions. ER and Chaska/Chan are going to Horizontes. We started the morning off with our final presentations. We were so happy to be done with science, but some felt really accomplished in their work. Sadly, Allan and Ibrahim said their goodbyes today. We were all sad to see them go because Allan fell in to the pond for one group and Ibrahim helped us a lot with our experiments. After lunch we piled in to the back of a truck and on to a wagon driven by a tractor and set off for yet another hike. This hike was so difficult and annoying and SUPER MUDDY and SLIPPERY, but we all had such a fun time climbing up to the water fall. Once we got there we forgot all about the difficult way back and just enjoyed the refreshing, freezing cold water. We swam against the flow of the fall and jump off the rocks. While we were swimming it started to pour and it turned our hike back into a fun nightmare. So many of us slipped on the way back and got super muddy. The dogs that came with us kept running past and almost pushed us over. when we got back to the owners house they had a fire waiting with their cool hanging chairs. They made us delicious lime drinks and tea and coffee while we relaxed after the hike back. After dinner we all played BS and UNO. It was really fun to get to know the

Chaska/Chan kids because we are going to be with them for the rest of the trip.
